A Disembodied Voice, towards Love named this programme as part of networked European programme called Special Issue. Les Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers, In-presentable (Madrid), Station (Belgrade), Hybris Konstproduktion (Stockholm), BIS (Istanbul) and Mugatxoan (San Sebastian), structures created by artists to produce suitable contexts for an art that is in the process of being invented.
Emission 1. A Disembodied Voice, towards Love, is a radio broadcast programme including performances, lectures, conversations and interventions, which are simultaneously performed, in Salón de actos de STM and in a free radio, through the presentations by Cristina Blanco, Manuel Cirauqui, Peio Aguirre,
Alice Chauchat, Juan Domínguez and Itziar Okariz.
The idea for the radio programme emerged from the interviews with the artists who have passed through Mugatxoan in the last ten years.  The interviews sought to reflect the places, position and autonomy from which they worked ten years ago and where they are now. The vocabulary of an encounter quickly emerged and the terminology used to depict and express situations and the work processes of each one was also defined and discussed. This caused us to turn our attention and purpose to the sound medium due to its intangibility, while considered the setting up of a line of publications tackling the problem of "translating" an artistic process into the written word.

Una voz sin cuerpo, hacia el amor [A Disembodied Voice, towards Love] is the title of the programme to be offered from the 4th to 11th of October in San Sebastian as part of Special Issue, a networked European programme.
The network comprises Les Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers, In-presentable (Madrid), Station (Belgrade), Hybris Konstproduktion (Stockholm), BIS (Istanbul) and Mugatxoan (San Sebastian), structures created by artists to produce suitable contexts for an art that is in the process of being invented.

Last November, the Arteleku premises were flooded by the heavy rain and, therefore, the scheduled programme had to be moved to other centres. In our case, and thanks to the support of Artium, we moved to Vitoria in December and San Telmo Museum is now hosting Mugatxoan with the second episode of the When the Body Disappears project.

When the Body Disappears is focused on experimenting with a set of forms/practices aimed at discourse production. It proposes developing these practices in different contexts, by questioning the experimentation in current discursive formats, performance as publication and the sharing of these practices with a new and larger audience. This project – which will have different moments of visibility throughout the year -, presents Emission 0 in this second episode.

Emission 0 is a broadcasting programme with performances, conferences, conversations and interventions, which is simultaneously accomplished in the STM Sala Laboratorio and on a free radio. Thanks to its capacity to create present or another present yet  not as a medium, but rather as a rather where "it rests", the radio supports the performances, thus looking for the validity of the sign in the translation and adaptation to this format.

This procedural and open experience activates the practices of the relations that occur between an intangible object and the spectator in the sphere of performance and the development of some of those elements outside of their direct mode, to the benefit of more discursive modes. This programme is an attempt to move perception from the proposed activities outside the place where they occur. How to be without being? Sound as a dematerialisation medium.

The Tresnak::Tools workshops are introductory sessions on how to approach the new technologies for their subsequent application in the creative and artistic arena.  These workshops will provide brief introductions to different software and hardware tools: each session is an approach to a specific technology, which is ideal for those people without prior knowledge.

This workshop aims to be an introduction to information design and data visualization. Data visualization is a transversal discipline that uses visual language (mainly images) to help to understand the relations between meaning, cause and dependency that can be found between the large abstract data masses generated by the social, scientific and natural processes.

In practical terms, we will consider the design of different visualisations that shed light on the natural processes that occur in an ecosystem: we will specifically work using the data obtained from sensorization of a vegetable garden.

Museo San Telmo

El principio de intercambio entre países, compañeros y grupos de aprendizaje define el proyecto Open Sound. Este proyecto pretende romper con las polaridades entre profesor y estudiante, artista profesional y audiencia pasiva, partiendo del concepto del “profesor ignorante” y con el objetivo de aprender mutuamente y descubrir colectivamente el universo sonoro, entendiendo las herramientas para producir sonido e ideas para organizarlos con una actitud artística. Durante el proceso de creación de esta red, el colectivo Open Sound organizará talleres, conferencias y eventos de difusión, prestando especial atención a diferentes aspectos del sonido, siempre desde una actitud informal e integradora, intercambiando y compartiendo modos de hacer y experiencias basadas en las situaciones específicas de cada país y lugar.
