Among the rigorously scientific questions which it is the turn of our time to elucidate it is possible to find the following: Is there any feature which differentiates humans with such a degree of singularity that it creates between them and other beings (mineral or plant, but also birds or bonobos) a frontier which, for the moment, may be considered insurmountable?
