Kathryn Feguson, focusing on her own work, will consider different aspects of the “Fashion Film” to unveil its possibilities and the reasons for the unstoppable international boom in this developing film genre linked to fashion. The talk will be illustrated with key examples of fashion films made by Kathryn Ferguson and other international authors.More information.
Kathryn Ferguson is a leading Irish filmmaker, curator and lecturer based in London. She has produced Fashion Films for brands and artists such as Chloé, Charlie le Mindu and Lady Gaga. Since 2007, she has been working with the British Council and the British Fashion Council to organise screenings, lectures and workshops on the fashion film genre. She lectures at both the London College of Fashion and Central Saint Martin’s College of Art & Design in London. More information.

ARTELEKU, San Sebastian. 15-17 November. Morning and afternoon.
During this practical-theoretical workshop, three selected audio-visual creatives will work with Kathryn Ferguson to produce personal film projects that dialogue with fashion designs of a guest designer. Besides, it will explore the possibilities of the relation of Fashion Film with the social media and interactivity as both a research and marketing tool.

The activities of VIDEO-CREATION & FASHION are part of MID_E Studio, programme within the tenth anniversary of MID_E, exhibition of contemporary arts and creative practices. This programme begun with the "Brand Identity and Online Communication for Artists and Designers” workshop dellivered by Inmaculada Urrea at Arteleku last July. It continues the reflection- laboratory programmes organized by Colectivo YOX around diverse areas of creativity. VIDEO- CREATION & FASHION comes specifically under the range of workshops, talks and master classes focused on practices intertwining art creation and fashion.
