Imanol Zubero

He holds a PhD in sociology and lectures at the University of the Basque Country. He is the author and co-author of several books and articles that take up different themes, all of them located in the Basque Country: unionism, technological changes, new information technology, social movements, volunteering, violence and politics. He collaborates weekly with the Basque edition of the newspaper El País. He is the author of the following books: Los sindicatos españoles ante el cambio, Desclée de Brouwer, 1993; Las nuevas condiciones de la solidaridad, Desclée de Brouwer, 1994; Movimientos sociales y alternativas de sociedad, HOAC, 1996; El trabajo en la sociedad. Manual para una sociología del trabajo, University of the Basque Country, 1998. He has been involved in several social organisations and initiatives of different fields, such as, antimilitarism, peace in the Basque Country and citizen movements. He has had an active membership of the “Gesture for Peace” group.
