Participants will be selected by the head of workshop.
The course will analyse the
use of the "book" medium in the artist's creative work, often from a
graphic perspective, and will consider the possibilities and limitation imposed
by books and their current presentation and execution.
During the workshop, participants will produce an artist's e-book based on
their own experimentation and research, under guidance from the teacher. In
achieving this, they will be invited to produce creative work with all types of
technical, graphic, conceptual, plastic, virtual and digital resources, etc. The
work can be in e-book or traditional book format, depending on the
participant's own specific interests and experience. Participants will be
encouraged to mix, hybridize and experiment in the contents, their physical
access, their process of generation, their material and conceptual character,
the use of interactive technologies and their integration in other processes. No
special technical knowledge is required to participate in the workshop. The
results of the workshop will be exhibited on the last day of the course.
